In 2018, the summer camp hosted the first Shanghai Sister Cities Youth Forum, which is upgraded from the section of City Orientation, bringing a deeper connotation to the activity. The forum aims to look at the world from the perspective of the younger generation, build a sense of global responsibility among young people, and let them build jointly a community with a shared future where different countries, different ethnic groups, different religions, and different skin colors may coexist harmoniously and inclusively. Before the camp kicks off, the campers will learn about the theme of the forum, and they may decide what their key focuses would be and collect relevant materials and present their studies by giving a presentation as a team.
